The Lib Dem-Conservative Coalition from 2010-2015 brought stability and the introduction of Lib Dem policies on a number of issues – reducing income tax for lowest paid, shared parental leave, free early years education, £1200 for childcare costs, more apprenticeships, £2.5bn pupil premium for struggling schools. Yes, we could have achieved more but we were often overruled by the Tories, the majority party in the Coalition. Nevertheless, we blocked cuts in inheritance tax, stopped bosses being able to fire at will and schools being run for profit.
