Stevenage Liberal Democrats have announced their candidates for the Borough Council elections this May.

Looking forward to the campaign Tim Neale, candidate for Chells, said:

This is going to be very different for us.

It is the first time that any of us have campaigned as part of a governing party. Then there is the AV referendum campaign going on as well.

So many people I talk to are sick to death with national politics and politicians. They are fed up with the negativity, tribalism and pettiness.

I think local politics should be about local issues, not another excuse to push national party messages on things Stevenage Borough Council has no control over.

Our candidates are:

  • Bandley Hill: Barbara Segadelli
  • Bedwell: Gareth Steiner
  • Chells: Tim Neale (Full Details and biography)
  • Longmeadow: Chris Baskerville
  • Manor: Cllr Robin Parker CC (Full Details and biography)
  • Martins Wood: Kevin Aylward
  • Old Town: Matthew Snell
  • Pin Green: Scott Copsey
  • Roebuck: Denise Baskerville
  • Shephall: Nick Baskerville
  • St. Nicholas: Heather Snell
  • Symonds Green: Clive Hearmon
  • Woodfield: Katherine Lloyd-Manning

Good luck to everyone.
